Playing Grown Up

We were lucky enough to be able to babysit my nieces and nephew this last weekend. It was my brother Ross's birthday, so they went out and had a good time while we had a good time with their kids. Marshall performed "magic" tricks, we painted nails, had a picnic, and went to Reed's Dairy. It was quite an eventful day! It felt a lot like we were playing grown ups or parents. I know what you are all thinking, and yeah it was weird for us too!

 

As usual I have to put some of the kids best quotes from our time spent together.

Aunt Nancy and Uncle Marshall

My sister Betsy and her family came and visit us Idaho this weekend. It was so much fun to spend time with them. We went to the movies, had a fashion show, ate good food, and played till we couldn't play anymore. I love being an Aunt, and Marshall loves being an uncle. I don't think there are many titles or roles better than it!

-tanner putting out the forest fire. it was a big one!

-having Ella sit on my lap for the entire movie. i felt so loved.

-listening to Soffie talk to her food. it is the cutest thing ever.

-making chocolate sundae dog piles on the trampoline. i was usually the ice cream.

-doing tricks with Kinsley on the trampoline. we both won trophies.

-tanner showing us his work out routine. he hammers his fist to work out:)

The Birthday Girl

We were lucky enough to be invited to our niece Kinsley's Birthday Party. She turned the big 4! It was such a good day just spent with family and having fun!

Life Lately

 Golfing Season has arrived, and Marshall shot his first birdie! He was pretty excited. // Lemon Blueberry Pancakes & Buttermilk Syrup // Face painting with nieces and nephews // The NBA playoffs have started so we have been watching a lot of basketball. GO BULLS! // We went to Bear World Again // Marshall turned 25. Happy Birthday! // Kinsley! The Birthday Girl! // We added a new shelf to our bathroom. Christmas in Washington

 This year we got to spend Christmas in Washington at my parents house. It was a quite Christmas for my parents with only Marshall and I, along with my sister Betsy and her family. There are usually three times as many times people at their house for Christmas as there was this year, but as sad as it was that we had family missing it was a nice change of pace. Marshall and I were stuck in Rexburg last year all alone. And to spare you my pathetic whining and desperation we will just say that it was one of my rougher holidays. So, it was absolutely wonderful to be with family this year. I loved every minute of playing Disney headbands with Ella(even if we did play 50 times in a matter of days), watching Marshall fall head over heels in love with our niece Soffie, playing the adult version of headbands with Dave(you just had to be there), having little visitors come into our bedroom bright and early most mornings just to say hi, being able to see my sister Trina and niece Talia even if it was only for an extremely short amount of time, and lastly sitting around with my family almost every night just talking about absolutely everything. It just doesn't get much better than family and Christmas!

We spent this last weekend at my brothers house with his family and my Mom. It was such a great weekend. Marshall and Kinsley(our niece) have always had a special bond. They constantly tease each other, wrestle, play, and have several nicknames(most of Kinsley's for Marshall are made up words) for each other. But as much as they tease they really do love each other, and they are very entertaining together.

Our New Niece

Her name is Adeline. She is as sweet as can be. Always adorable. Super cuddly. The most precious. She steals everyone's heart. And is absolutely perfect. Oh we just love her.
